FAQs
What does a creative producer actually do?
A creative producer is the person who takes an idea and makes it actually happen. From concept and planning through all the way to filming, editing, and delivery.
It means managing budgets, timelines, locations and people, while keeping the creative vision intact from start to finish. Think of it as the bridge between "wouldn't it be great if..." and a finished piece of content that actually works.
what’s the difference between a creative producer and produceR?
A producer typically manages the logistics of a shoot. This is things like budgets, schedules, crew, permissions, and ensuring everything runs on time and on brief.
A creative producer does all of that, but is also shaping the idea itself. The concept, the story, the visual direction, and the logistics.
It's less about just delivering someone else's brief and more about being involved from the very start, helping to build the idea before production even starts.
why are you both a creative producer and photographer?
Because creative production and photography feed into each other.
Understanding how to produce a shoot, the logistics, the budget, the people - it makes me a better photographer. Being a photographer also means I understand exactly what's achievable, and what isn't, when I'm producing.
It means I can offer end-to-end support, from the initial idea right through to the final image or film, rather than handing things off to different people at different stages. One contact, one creative vision, one unified project.
